The Pineries Open Space in Black Forest is land recently acquired by El Paso County, that the county will open as a park at some point in the future. The property, with the exception of approximately 30 acres, is subject to a conservation easement held by the Palmer Land Trust. The intent of the conservation easement held by the Palmer Land Trust is to insure that the property will be preserved in its natural condition. By preservation of the property in its natural condition scenic, wildlife and ecological values that currently exist on the property will also be preserved and maintained.
