On Saturday April 2, the Black Forest Community Club will host a community symposium featuring many of the nonprofit organizations that serve to enhance and protect Black Forest. This is a collaborative effort between many nonprofits and details are still being finalized, but in addition to the Black Forest Community Club the participating organizations will include the Black Forest Community Foundation, Black Forest Together, Black Forest Trails Association, Black Forest Land Use Committee, Black Forest Fire Department, Friends of the Black Forest Preservation Plan, and SAMCOM (Slash and Mulch Committee). Each organization will make a short presentation regarding its mission, goals and current issues or concerns, with time for audience questions and answers. The symposium runs from 9 am to noon, with presentations for each agency scheduled to last about 15 minutes. Organization representatives will also be available throughout the event to provide additional information. Coffee and muffins will be served.
Please plan to attend to learn about these vital organizations and their efforts to preserve, protect and enhance Black Forest. The goal of the symposium is to increase public awareness of the objectives and activities of the participating organizations, as well as to foster cooperation and collaboration to advance the common mission of supporting and protecting the Black Forest community and its natural environment.
